CRISTIANO RONALDO BECOMES THE FIRST EUROPEAN AND PORTUGUESE PLAYER TO SCORE 100 INTERNATIONAL GOALS

The Portuguese ace – Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals against Sweden in Stockholm during Portugal’s Nations League match on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, to become the first European player to amass a hundred international goals. Ronaldo scored a fantastic free kick before half-time to be followed by a lovely lob in the second half which means he currently has a record 101 goals in the kitty for his country Portugal. Therefore on the domestic level, no Portuguese player has ever come close so far as Pauleta had a total of 47 goals for his country Portugal throughout his career. The great Eusebio on the other hand could only manage 41 goals, while Luis Figo scored 32 goals.

On the international level, only Ali Daei of Iran is currently besting Ronaldo with 109 international goals. Congratulations to Cristiano Ronaldo for making another history during his ongoing illustrious career. If I may ask then, do you believe Ronaldo will ever catch up with Ali Daei or even surpass him before he retires?
